Thanks for reading my 5 ideas/thoughts to improve your life! Let’s jump into it.
My Favorite Learnings This Week
I watched this multiple times in a row because it’s spot on and extremely thought provoking. This is now one of my favorite videos of all-time. Shoutout to Raad Ahmed from LawTrades for the tip.
This tip comes from Marc Andreessen, a legendary investor and entrepreneur. I implemented this about a year and a half ago and it has provided big focus, mental clarity, and productivity boosts. I use a physical notepad to write down the most important things to do each day (no more than five) – and then I constantly refer to this list throughout the day to avoid getting sidetracked with less important tasks.
Just started using All The Flight Deals and I’m a huge fan. In a nutshell, it aggregates all of the flight deal sites so that you’ll get notified about super cheap flights from your city all over the world (i.e. $300-400 roundtrip flights from the U.S. to Europe/Asia). It has much better filtering, email notifications, and design than any flight deal service that I’ve seen.
4. Quote: “A man who dares to waste an hour of time has not discovered the value of his life.” -Charles Darwin
A friend of mine, Yash Kothari, asked me a simple question ~6 years ago that I’ve been thinking about ever since: “What do you value an hour of your time at?” I’m a frugal person but I use this exercise to spend extra money on things that will save me time or boost my efficiency. If you haven’t ever thought about this then I strongly recommend spending some time to think this through.
“Am I wrong for thinking out the box from where I stay? Am I wrong for saying that I’ll choose another way? I ain’t trying to do what everybody else doing. Just cause everybody doing what they all do…If you tell me I’m wrong. I don’t want to be right.” One of my favorite songs of all time: speaks to my soul.
That’s all folks! Thanks for reading. Until next week!
