Be Action Oriented And Take Control Of Your Life

If you’re upset about something, you should either take action or stop being upset. I’ve shifted my mindset to the belief that you only have these two choices. I try to use this basic framework for everything because complaining about something and not taking action makes you powerless and helpless in the world. Whether you’re upset about your personal happiness, the U.S. election, your job, etc. either make a change or accept the circumstances. There is no middle ground. Complaining about things and not taking action is a negative cycle and it plays into victimhood. And on a broader...

Why Nomading Is One Of The Best Ways To Press The Reset Button In Life

I’ve been slow traveling (changing places every 1.5-5 months) for about three years now (mostly solo) and I’ve learned that nomading is one of the best ways to press the reset button in life. Why? 1. Freedom from societal pressures and external judgment means you can think freely and independently When you’re living outside of your home society and you’re an outsider in the society that you’re visiting, you aren’t judged or held to the societal standards of either society. So you gain a huge amount of mental freedom! 2. When you’re surrounded by no one, you’re the most...

The Three Resources That Taught Me How To Sell

Hello hello! I’m going to cut to the chase here. I worked in my first ever sales role at DoorDash back in 2015 cold selling to restaurants. In my first two weeks on the job, I sucked. I signed up zero restaurants and couldn’t figure out how to close deals. I was worried. My boss was worried. It was not good. It was one of those moments when you’re failing, and you’re asking yourself “Can I do this? Am I going to be able to figure this out?” I ended up doing a couple of all-nighters deep diving into...

Why I Changed My Phone To Black & White and Why You Should Too

Changing my phone to black and white is one of the best things I’ve ever done and you should try it! It reduces the mental stimulation gained from using your phone and thus will reduce the addictiveness of your device (tip from Louis Hunt pictured here). Why? Because if your phone is in black and white then it will naturally be much less appealing to your brain than the real world (in full color). Social media companies employ some of the most talented neuroscientists and addiction specialists in the world. This is a good way to counteract their techniques....

The Two Best Resources If You’re Looking To Improve Your Life

If you’re looking to make major improvements in life, I strongly recommend these two resources. Every time I go through a major life change I use these to reset and to recalibrate my path because they’re phenomenal guiding forces. 1. Optimize.me by Brian Johnson Brian Johnson is similar to a Tim Ferriss or a Tony Robbins in the sense that he’s a life hacker and philosopher. The Best Travel Hacks, Tools & Resources For Digital Nomads

Here are all of my travel hacks that I’ve learned from traveling from the last 15 months. Hope you pick up some valuable tips! SIM CARDS: This is the #1 mistake that I see travelers make, so I’m putting it first. It’s also something that we frequently deal with when negotiating lower bills for consumers. It’s much, much cheaper to get SIM cards locally than to pay your U.S. company to supply data abroad. For context, Verizon charges $10/day for data abroad and in Indonesia $6 will get you 10GB of data for 30 days. Make sure your phone is unlocked and...
